DICE has released a new trailer of Battlefield 5 just days ahead of Gamescom.
This is entirely in-game footage as you’re going to see. Titled “Devastation of Rotterdam”, the video gives a look at that city, bombed out during The Battle of the Bulge, and a scene in Norway. The video also features in-game footage of several of locations we’ll be visiting in multiplayer, including Europe and North America.
Now something to notice here is that there’s a teaser at the end indicating the game’s new battle royale mode, with a ring of fire closing in on a group of soldiers.
While many players weren’t that pleased with the initial trailer of Battlefield 5, one of the YouTube comment on this trailer read, “Now imagine how much more hype you would have had if this was the first trailer.”
DICE describes the game as “War will never be the same. Enter mankind’s greatest conflict as Battlefield goes back to its roots in a never-before-seen portrayal of World War II. Face intense all-out war and witness human drama set against global combat in epic, unexpected locations. This is Battlefield V. The richest and most immersive Battlefield yet.”
Gamescom 2018 takes place August 21-25 in Cologne, Germany and the game itself releases on October 19th for PC, PS4, XBOX One.
