- Cloud9 announces the next two players to join their CS:GO roster.
- They bought woxic from mousesports offering him a contract worth $1,365,000 for 3 years.
- They also bought mezzi from Team GamerLegion for $83,000 while offering him a 3-year deal worth $426,000.
Cloud9 after more than a week of having signed Alex "ALEX" McMeekin for three-years in a deal worth $1.65 million have announced two more players, William "mezii" Merriman and Ozgur "woxic" Eker.
woxic enjoyed the prolific year of 2019 for mousesports following his transfer from HellRaisers in March of that year. He helped the team to win a handful of LAN tournaments, most notably CS:GO Asia Championships and ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals, winning an MVP award at the former event. He was also ranked the 12th-best player of 2019, becoming the first-ever Turkish player to feature in HLTV.org’s end-of-year ranking.
mezii started to play with GamerLegion in May, leaving the UK scene behind and has amassed a 1.15 rating since going international, which makes his move to the Cloud9 project a natural progression in his career.
The present roster comprises of Alex "ALEX" McMeekin, William "mezii" Merriman and Ozgur "woxic" Eker with Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović as their coach.
