James "Kryptix" Affleck has decided to step away from Team Liquid's active Valorant roster to deal with some personal issues. His spot will now be filled by Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom. Nivera is ScreaM's younger brother who previously played under the Team Vitality banner in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
He was part of the first-ever six-man roster in CSGO where players would just swap in and out depending upon the map. Nivera usually played Dust2 and Inferno. He played the role of secondary AWPer on Dust2 and primary AWPer on Inferno. Valve's call to issue penalties to teams who substitute out players in the Regional Major Ranking (RMR) circuit, the qualification system for the next Major pressured Team VItality into releasing Nivera from their lineup.
Nivera is set to make his debut going against One Breath Gaming on October 11th 2021 for the EMEA LCQ. He might most likely play a Controller agent because that was the role that Kryptix previously played on Team Liquid.
