The mobile gaming community recently saw the arrival of the Call of Duty franchise with a mobile version to tackle PUBG mobile, and with that, the gamer community has started wondering which of the more popular PC titles could make it to mobile.
Apex Legends has recently become the next big thing in the battle royale world owing to the favourable reviews that Respawn’s game has achieved. Apex Legends is a first-person shooter game that is entirely squad centric. There are no options for playing in solo or duo mode and the maximum players that a squad could accommodate is only 3. You could choose your player from a set of 8 characters that are now available. The game would have more playable characters to choose from in the near future. Apex Legends will have battle passes just like Fortnite.
Apex Legends is currently available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 and the developer has revealed that its popular battle royale title will be coming to mobile platforms.
Though an actual release date was not confirmed by the developers at the event, it is speculated to be between November 2019 and December 2019.
The company’s CEO Andrew Wilson has revealed, “With the Apex Legends community now growing pass 70 million players, we're focused on expanding to mobile new platforms and new geographies, as well as launching and Apex competitive gaming program that we'll share details on soon”. Wilson has also confirmed that new countries would be able to play the game as they moved into expansion in 2020 and 2021, including more than one billion potential new players in China.
