Stalwart Esports has released their PUBG Mobile lineup in India earlier today, 7 December 2020. The unfortunate announcement has come due to the delayed release of PUBG Mobile in India.
They have also released a statement about it and said, "After PUBG Mobile got banned in India, we already announced that our earlier Indian PUBG Mobile lineup isn't operational and any player/lineup that is authorized to play under us would be announced publicly. We also request all scrim organizers to accept the slot booking from authorized team managers only. We have been notified that someone is using our name to claim the slot in scrims."
Stalwart Esports had finished at the third position in PUBG Mobile Club Open 2020: India fall season and got qualified for the PUBG Mobile Pro League South Asia Season 2. However, PUBG Mobile got banned in India before the PMPL SA Season 2, and Indian players were restricted to participate. Then, Stalwart Esports had signed a lineup from Pakistan to represent them at the PMPL.
But now, Stalwart Esports posted an announcement earlier today, which says, "Last Month we decided to pause our esports operations in India. Until the game is properly launched in India. We have decided to continue with the pause and explore other possible sectors to understand and uplift [the] Indian gaming ecosystem."
This means that Stalwart Esports has paused all their esports operations, whether in India, or internationally. This announcement has come after the delay in launch of PUBG Mobile in India.
