Valorant officially released in China? Here's everything we know so far: Valorant was released world wide on 2nd June 2020 except for China and Vietnam. Though it was released for Vietnam on 6th April, 2021 China was yet to have the game officially launched.
Valorant China Release
Valorant was having a release conference on 4th September at 4:15 PM (Beijing Time).
Valorant was also featured in some Chinese Advertisements and the official website and socials for Valorant China are up.
Valorant License Not Yet Approved in China
However, Alan Gai, Chinese Esports caster in Overwatch,Valorant,Apex Legends stated that Valorant is still yet to obtain a license from the legal authority.
China at APAC LCQ?
China has been alloted 2 slots at the APAC LCQ following the details which were revealed of the tournament on 20th August. Chinese eSports giants like RNG, EDG, iG and others have already stepped into Valorant. FunPlus Phoenix, a Chinese org which already has an European Roster were looking to hire a Chinese Valorant roster.
There were speculations regarding Chinese slot to be obtained by South Asian region, in case Valorant does not release in China before the APAC LCQ to be held between October 13-17. But as the number of slots were increased, SEA obtained one more slot along with China.
