Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PC needs 175GB of your storage space

By |

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, or as we say, COD Modern Warfare is all set to release on October 25 and now Blizzard has released some information regarding system requirements of the game. Everything looks fine except the storage part which seems very ridiculous as it consumes almost 175GB of your system storage or HDD. For those who thought that the 150GB of storage required for Red Dead Redemption 2 that was revealed last week was way too much to spare for, then, I wonder what they'd say about this game. And yes guys, this is now the biggest base installation size ever seen in the field of PC gaming. Further updates or data that accumulate as you play and progress in the game may push up the storage threshold level to a greater extent.

Also, one more thing to observe is that the beta version of the game had recommended 16GB of system memory. However, this has been bought down to 12GB in the final released version.

If your machine runs on some petty SSD storage we would recommend you to upgrade it to something more capable.

One simple reason as to why modern games are eating up more storage is due to high-resolution textures or even high-resolution audio that's present inside the game.
