No, DeathMaker is not sure to join Velocity Gaming

By |

Update (12 July 2021): Gamzo's reliable sources have revealed that Velocity Gaming has not yet signed DeathMaker, neither have they paid Godlike Esports for the contract just yet. Our sources say that it was just a 'preliminary talk', and Velocity Gaming is not looking to get DeathMaker before the end of VCC. It was rife in the community this evening that VLT had bought DM's contract after a report published by Talkesport.

DeathMaker to join Velocity Gaming: Debanjan 'DeathMaker' Das is an integral part of Godlike Esports, he was even their IGL for some time. However, according to a report by Talkesport, DeathMaker might join Velocity Gaming. This has taken the community by surprise.

Velocity Gaming was in turmoil when two of the founding players, Excali and Antidote, left the team. VLT had then signed MW1 for the period of Valorant Conquerors Championship to complete the roster. However, Velocity Gaming is yet to find a suitable replacement for Excali, considering Marzil is still going to take some time.

Velocity Gaming might acquire DeathMaker from Godlike Esport

Velocity Gaming has already initiated the buyout process and paid the contract value to Godlike Esports, the report says. If the transfer does happen, Velocity Gaming will become the team with the highest firepower in the Indian region, thereby getting an edge on arch-nemesis Global Esports (unless Global too has something up their sleeves).

It would also be interesting to see how Velocity Gaming rotates this six-man roster (considering MW1 will be gone after VCC).

Velocity Gaming woud be (if DM joins VLT):

  • Anuj 'Amaterasu' Sharma
  • Tejas 'rite2ace' Sawant
  • Vibhor Vaid
  • Sagnik 'Hellff' Roy
  • Agneya 'Marzil' Koushik
  • Mohit 'mw1' Wakle
  • Debanjan 'DeathMaker' Das

Deathmaker is an Indian Valorant player who switched over from CSGO. Back in CS days, DeathMaker had played for JMD Gaming, Entity Gaming, Signify, Orgless5ive. He switched over to Valorant when he was in Global Esports, and then joined Godlike Esports. DeathMaker has the experience of playing for so many teams that he will surely bring something to the VLT roster if the transfer does happen.
