Valve and ESL have canceled the upcoming CSGO Major ESL One which was to be organized in Rio in November 2020. The event has been canceled due to the ongoing pandemic all over the world. The ESL Rio Major event was to be organized in May initially but was postponed to November due to the same reason it has been canceled. The sold tickets for the LAN event will remain valid for the next Major Event.
We’re not going to ask players and fans to risk their health in order to attend a Major while the pandemic still poses a threat to travelers. Therefore, we have made the painful decision to cancel the November Major.

Adding further, Valve said that they were also going to hold off on scheduling all upcoming Major events until, atleast, Regional Major Ranking (RMR) LAN events are safe to hold all around the world. Until the normalcy, Valve will continue to hold online RMR events to keep track of the best teams in each region.
Due to obvious reasons, the upcoming IEM Global Challenge 2020, which is scheduled in December, may also be shifted online.
