Yesterday, G2 Esports released paTiTek, ardiis and zeek from their active lineup of Valorant roster. This roster change was done ahead of VCT Masters 3 to get their newer team ready in time for the same tournament.
Today, G2 Esports has announced the replacements for paTiTek, ardiis and zeek. zeek has already been signed to cNed's Acend, replacing the outgoing koldamenta. G2 went ahead and signed AvovA, nukkye and koldamenta who are already proven talents in the EU Valorant scene.
nukkye and AvovA had previously played for Team Heretics. During their time with Team Heretics, they finished 2020 with on top, won First Strike and maintained their form with the second place finish at the first VCT Masters. They came crashing down in Stage 2, eliminated by the current Team BDS in Stage 2: Challengers 1, and failed to qualify for the second event, being knocked out by G2 Esports whom they will now represent. koldamenta's previous achievements with Acend were finishing VCT's Stage 1 with an unexpected performance that saw them qualify for the Stage 1: Challenger 3 and, from there, for Stage 1: Masters 1. They even defeated EU giants like Ninjas in Pyjamas, FunPlus Phoenix and Team Heretics to win the event.
After this roster change, it'll be quite interesting to see how G2 will perform as now it's safe to say that the talent and skill ceiling in this new G2 Valorant team is limitless.
