Free Fire has revealed a detailed esports roadmap for India for 2021. Four major Free Fire esports tournaments are to be held, along with a total prize pool of Rs 2 crores.
Garena has announced their esports plan for 2021 for India today where we have exciting Free Fire Tournaments for Indian players in the coming year. Garena hosted multiple tournaments this year too where we had seen some amazing action. In fact, another tournament Free Fire Battle Arena Season 2 is live currently. The finals of Free Fire Battle Arena Season 2 are to be played on December 18th, 2020 where 12 teams will battle for 3,00,000 Diamonds.
Free Fire will host 4 major tournaments in 2021, worth Rs 2 crores
Garena will host 4 major Free Fire tournaments which will be divided in two professional circuits with a total prize pool of more than ₹2,00,00,000 INR (approx $271,934 USD). These tournaments will be open to all, where anyone from India can participate in the event and claim the prizepool. Along with these 4 Tournaments, Other minor and community-based tournaments will take place throughout the year which will be revealed next year.
Roadmap for Free Fire Esports for India in 2021
Free Fire India's Esports 2021 is divided into two pro seasons. Each season has 2 major tournaments namely, Free Fire Pro League and Free Fire India Championship. Each pro season of Free Fire India will have a prizepool of more than ₹1,00,00,000.
These will be 4 major Free Fire tournaments in 2021:
- Free Fire India Championship 2021: Spring Season
- Free Fire Pro League 2021: Summer Season
- Free Fire India Championship 2021: Fall Season
- Free Fire Pro League 2021: Winter Season
The Pro Esports Circuit will start with the beginning of Free Fire India Championship 2021: Spring Season which will be the last esports tournament held standalone. Free Fire Pro League Tournaments, marked as the first esports tournament, will give an opportunity to the teams to qualify for the Free Fire India Championship in 2021 Fall.
As no Pro League Tournament was held before the upcoming Free Fire India Championship 2021: Spring Season, the top 6 teams from Free Fire India Championship 2020: Fall will get a direct invite to the league stage of FFIC 2021 Spring. The bottom 6 teams from FFIC Fall 2020 will get the slot at closed playoffs where the top 12 teams will qualify for the League Stage of FFIC 2021 Spring. Total 18 teams will participate in the League stage of FFIC Spring 2021 where the top 12 teams will qualify for the grand finals of Free Fire India Championship 2021: Spring Season.
Each Free Fire Pro League Tournament will include 18 teams where 12 teams will get a direct invite from the last Free Fire India Championship Finals and the rest of the 6 teams will come from the open qualifiers. Each Free Fire Pro League Tournament will have a massive prize pool of ₹35,90,000.
Each Free Fire India Championship will be played as the national qualifiers of India where the top number of teams will qualify for the international Free Fire Tournament like the Free Fire Continental Series. Free Fire India Championship will have a prize pool of ₹75,00,000 INR where teams have the opportunity to win the title of the best team in India and will represent India at the World Level.
If you are a new team who didn't get a spot through last FFIC and you want to make your way into the Free Fire esports, You can simply participate in Free Fire Cup through open qualifiers via in-game mode. The best teams from Free Fire Cup will advance to the closed qualifiers of the Free Fire Pro League.
