kaboose Valorant: Team Envy and kaboose part ways: Jake “kaboose” McDonald and Team ENVY have decided to part ways after him being on the bench for a few weeks.
Jake “kaboose” McDonald was one of the founding members of Team ENVY's Valorant team. He mainly played Raze and Omen for Team ENVY. Unfortunately for him, he was benched on 30th June 2021 due to unsatisfactory results. His spot is now taken up by former FaZe Clan member Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen. Marved joined ENVY on loan after he was benched in FaZe Clan's Valorant team. Although not confirmed, FaZe decided to replace him due to his match-fixing accusations. You can check out the entire story here.
kaboose helped Team ENVY in many deep runs in tournaments such as 1st place finish in Cloud9 To The Skyes Invitational. 3rd place in the Champions Tour North America Stage 2: Challengers and 4th place finish at the Champions Tour North America Stage 1: Masters.
Team ENVY's new lineup with Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen on the other hand is looking stronger than ever. Marved's CSGO veteran experience seems to be helping Team ENVY immensely. It is surely an interesting timeline for both Team ENVY and kaboose as both of them have gotten a fresh start to fix all their mistakes and keep moving forward.
Team ENVY are now:
- Pujan “FNS” Mehta
- Anthony “mummAy” DiPaolo
- Victor "Victor" Wong
- Austin “crashies” Roberts
- Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen
