The award process is very simple and transparent. It allows anyone to file a nomination. The whole process is divided into five parts. Here is all you need to know:

#2 Announcement of Finalists
After the nominations are filed, the organization constantly monitors the shortlisted candidates for a year. And after that, they announce the list of finalists.
#3 Public Vote
We are now in this stage. After the finalists are announced, they are put to the public for voting.
#4 Panel Vote
After the public voting ends ends, the panel discusses and decides the winner in each category. They also consider the public vote in the discussion and in-case of tie breaker as well.
#5 The Awards
This is the final step. The winners are announced and the awards are distributed. Usually, this is a live event but due to the global lockdown, the ceremony will be streamed live this year. The date is yet to be confirmed.
