Old Skool disqualified, AAYUSH banned for 12 months

AAYUSH from Team Old Skool has got banned for 12 months from all upcoming tournaments of Free Fire, the team has also been disqualified from the ongoing Free Fire India Championship 2021: Spring.  

Garena, developer, and publisher of Free Fire are continuously working to establish an esports ecosystem of one of most popular battle royale game. Free Fire Esports scene has shown amazing growth in recent years not only in India but also globally. Garena is continuously hosting a large number of tournaments for competitive players across the globe. But as we all know every game faces the problem of cheaters who use third-party hacking software to gain an unfair advantage in-game. Free Fire esports is also facing the same problem.

On February 8, 2021, player "AAYUSH" from Old Skool was found to be using hacks by in game anti-cheat system. After this incident, AAYUSH has got banned from all future tournaments till 7th February 2022. Due to this incident, Old Skool has also been disqualified from the ongoing Free Fire India Championship 2021: Spring. STONE CRUSHERS, the next best team from League qualifiers of Free Fire India Championship 2021:Spring will take Old Skool's slot.


"Provide me proofs", AAYUSH challenges the ban

After being banned from competitive events for a year, AAYUSH said, "I am accused not Guilty. I am not a hacker. I have not done anything which is not acceptable. I have not used any sort of hacks or script. It's my humble request to Garena that please review my suspended ID as I always played with honesty and followed the terms and conditions given by Garena. Moreover, if I am wrong in your terms, it's my generous request to Garena that please provide me proofs that at which point and due to which type of Hack I am Guilty."

League Stage of Free Fire India Championship 2021:Spring is scheduled to be held from February 19 to March 7, 2021, where a total of 18 teams (6 Invited + 12 from League qualifiers) will battle for securing the spot at Grand Finals. Free Fire India Championship 2021: Spring has a massive prizepool of ₹75 Lakh INR.
