Raji: An Ancient Epic Review
The game has an appealing graphics from ancient India. Gigantic medieval forts are an inspiration behind the levels, featuring tightly packed arenas, secret locations, and breathtaking views. The combat of the game offers a mix of fluidity in movement and attacks against the powerful and mystical enemies. Raji has environment puzzles that provide for a challenge and environment storytelling. It represents the myths, the stories, and the culture of India. The game is beautifully done and we can't wait to play the full version.
Raji looks to be a beautiful game, but there is violence to be done and she's going to do it. She can choose from the powers of multiple gods, each with its own unique weaponry.
PC Gamer
The combination of dashes and attacks, alongside uniquely predictable enemy behavior, made combat acutely responsive. It was easy to jump in and a joy to watch.

Story of Nodding Head Games: The hardships
Nodding Head Games was born out of six passionate developers from Pune when Avichal, one of the founders, visited Rajasthan some years earlier and was immediately awestruck by its cultural diversity and medieval architecture; he naturally gravitated to its timeless beauty. Whilst on his travels, it occurred to him that this would be a wonderful setting for a video game.
The beginning of the studio was very tough as the Kickstarter campaign failed back in 2017. The devs kept the project going with their personal savings. Unfortunately, Shruti Ghosh, one of the founders, had to sell her flat to keep the project on. The devs were literally on their last rupees. The project was about to be shut. Even the founders had already started looking for jobs and were planning about when to tell the rest of the team. But then something happened...
To sustain at that time I sold my apartment to sustain the team.
Shruti Ghosh, In an interview with The Mako Reactor
One morning, Ms. Ghosh woke-up and checked her mail. And she found something which has changed the fate of Nodding Head Games. She had a mail from Unreal Engine which said that the studio had won an Unreal Engine Dev Grant. The grant is an initiative by Epic Games for promising devs. The grant money can be anything between $5,000 to $500,000. "A few days before the grant arrived we discussed when to tell the rest of the team to search for jobs, we were actually looking for jobs as well as we still had bills to pay", recalls Ghosh.
