All Valorant Maps, Callouts, and current Meta: Do you feel frustrated when opponents headshot you out of nowhere? I know what that feeling is. You go on auto-pilot after it happens a couple of times, and then you quit the game for the day. What if I told you that it can be fixed in just a day or two? The main reason behind this is your lack of map knowledge. Valorant is a tac-shooter game. Its maps are designed very tactically, keeping in mind different angles, abilities, and a whole lot of other things. You can't excel even if you have godly aim but don't know about the maps. On the other hand, you will find yourself in a very comfortable position if you have at least the basic knowledge of all maps in Valorant.
There are six maps in Valorant as of now: Ascent, Split, Haven, Bind, Icebox, and Breeze. Each map has its own unique characteristic. Read below.
All Ascent callouts, details, and current meta
An open playground for small wars of position and attrition divide two sites on Ascent. Each site can be fortified by irreversible bomb doors; once they’re down, you’ll have to destroy them or find another way. Yield as little territory as possible.

Current Agent meta in Acsent
Sova is the most important agent on Ascent. This is mainly because this maps has the most "wall-bangable" walls out of all the six maps in Valorant. Jett also has one of the highest pick rates in professional play on Ascent. Many teams opt to choose Astra as their primary controller and prefer Astra solo anchoring A-bomb site on defence.
Unique features of Ascent
- Most walls are "wall-bangable" in nature.
- The map is quite similar to Dust-II map in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as agreed by many professional Valorant players.
- Most popular/most-played map in the game( as of patch 3.03).

Current meta | Sova, Jett, Astra, Pheonix, Cyper/Killjoy |
All Split callouts, details, and current meta
If you want to go far, you’ll have to go up. A pair of sites split by an elevated centre allows for rapid movement using two rope ascenders. Each site is built with a looming tower vital for control. Remember to watch above before it all blows sky-high.

Current Agent meta in Split
This is the only map where Sova is actually not viable. The map has many close cut corners and choke points which make Kay/O's utility really good. Kay/O's supression blade can cover most of B-Bombsite due to it's small size.
Jett has the highest pickrate on this map. Mid control is very essential on both sides. Jett OPing on defence on Mid to shut down Mid push is one of the most common plays seen on the map. Sage is also a very good agent on this map. Her wall on mid on pistol rounds mainly brings great value. Players opt for Skye as their primary initiator instead of Sova on Split due to elevation changes of the map. Raze's utility is overpowered on Split.
Unique features of Split
- Close cut corners and Choke points.
- Mid control is important and teams fighting for it is seen almost everytime. Split's Mid is the most contested Mid area than any other map in Valorant.
- The map has ropes and sewers for rotations.

Split in real life | Tokyo, Japan |
Current meta | Raze, Jett, Killjoy, Astra, Sage/Skye |
All Bind callouts, details, and current meta
Two sites. No middle. Gotta pick left or right. What’s it going to be then? Both offer direct paths for attackers and a pair of one-way teleporters make it easier to flank.

Current Agent meta in Bind
Bind is the only map where Yoru is somewhat viable in professional play. Even SEN TenZ was seen picking up Yoru in an official match once. Raze and Jett are the most picked Duelists on the map. Double controllers Astra and Viper combo is pretty commonly seen on this map. Viper players just completely shut off A-short on defence most of the time with the help of their Ultimate ability, Viper's Pit. Jett is still the most played agent on this map.
Unique features of Bind
- Bind is the only map with Teleportals.
- It doesn't have a mid section.
No. of plant sites on Bind | 2 |
Bind in real life | Rabat, Morocco |
Current meta | Viper, Astra, Reyna, Raze, Sova |
All Haven callouts, details, and current meta
Beneath a forgotten monastery, a clamour emerges from rival Agents clashing to control three sites. There’s more territory to control, but defenders can use the extra real estate for aggressive pushes.
All Haven callouts with image
Current Agent meta in Haven
Astra is overpowered on Haven. Due to her ability to control two different spots at a time, she is a crucial element in getting control of the map on the Attackers side. Some teams also run Viper instead of Astra due to her ability to take control of C-long on the defenders side with her Viper's Pit in just seconds after the round starts. Jett is crucial because of her ability to go for aggressive picks on A-long, C-long and just dash out after contesting/getting a kill. Some Korean teams like NUTURN Gaming use Breach instead of a secondary duelist like Pheonix and just push garage with Breach's flashes to take control of it early.
Unique features of Haven
- Only map to have 3 bombsites.
- Slow rotations.
- Mid and Garage control is very important when playing default or even for picks.
No. of plant sites on Bind | 3 |
Haven in real life | Thimphu, Bhutan |
Current meta | Jett, Astra, Sova, Pheonix/Skye, Cypher/Killjoy |
All Icebox callouts, details, and current meta
Beneath a forgotten monastery, a clamour emerges from rival Agents clashing to control three sites. There’s more territory to control, but defenders can use the extra real estate for aggressive pushes.
All Icebox callouts with image
Current Agent meta in Icebox
Jett and Reyna are one of the most OP agents on this map due to teams challenging each other pretty often on this map. Sage is almost a must pick for Icebox because a Sage Wall is required almost every time when planting the spike at B-Bombsite. Players like 100T Asuna just abuse the ropes' firing accuracy and just escape after getting 1 or 2 kills with the help of the high velocity of the agents on ropes. A-bombsite seems to be contested two to three times more than the B-Bombsite(not from a statistical point of view)because of it's layout. Mid control is very difficult on this map because of it's open angles. Teams like T1 Valorant have come up with some pretty good starts involving perfect teamwork to push mid. But other than that almost no team pushes or tries to take mid control because of all the different angels you could get shot from.
Unique features of Icebox
- Horizontal and verticxal ropes.
- Mid Control is very difficult.
No. of plant sites on Icebox | 2 |
Icebox in real life | Coast of Bennett Island, Sakha, Russia |
Current meta | Sage, Viper, Jett, Sova, Reyna |
All Breeze callouts, details, and current meta
Beneath a forgotten monastery, a clamour emerges from rival Agents clashing to control three sites. There’s more territory to control, but defenders can use the extra real estate for aggressive pushes.

Current Agent meta in Breeze
Viper is very powerful on this map. Her wall on mid gives the defending team ample advantage. Controllers like Astra and Omen are also pretty good on this map as they can control two different spots simultaneously. Duelists like Jett is considered OP on this map because of it's long open angles. Flanking on defence is very easy on this map due to it's layout. Most teams have a dedicated flanked on Breeze.
Unique features of Breeze
- The most "open" map in the game.
- The map has a chute to jump from A-site tube to mid.
- The map has ropes to get onto tube and bridge.
- Flanking on this map is faster and easier than any other map in the game.
No. of plant sites on Breeze | 2 |
Breeze in real life | Coast of the Bahamas and in the Atlantic Ocean. |
Current meta | Viper, Sage, Skye, Jett, Cypher/Killjoy |
Conclusion
All the maps in Valorant have different features and gimmicks that make them unique from each other. Players may hate a map or love it depending on the set of things it has to offer to the players.
