[New season start date] When will season 20 start in BGMI: BGMI is all set for its first major update. The upcoming patch 1.5 will bring a lot of new content like the new gun MG3, Glass Windows, and Ignition Mode, and then the new season will begin. Patch 1.5 is rolling out on 13 July 2021, and BGMI patch note 1.5 has already been released.
When will the new season start in BGMI?
Starting from the BGMI patch 1.5, the structure and naming of the season are also going to change. BGMI will now use C1S1 system, you can read more about it here. Basically, C stands for Cycle and S stands for Season. Each Cycle will have three Seasons in it. So the next few seasons are going to be named C1S1, C1S2, C1S3, and then C2S1 and so on.
The start date of season 20 (C1S1) in BGMI is 14 July 2021. The new system will also alter the Royal Pass duration, you can read more about it here. The next Royal Pass season also starts on 14 July.
BGMI to get 1.5 update on 13 July
Krafton has revealed that the new BGMI update 1.5 will start rolling out on 13 July morning, approximately 9:30 am. They said, 'Update version distribution starts from July 13th (Tue) 19:30 (IST). This is an estimated time; distribution may end early or be delayed depending on circumstances. As client distribution proceeds sequentially, there may be differences in the timing of completion depending on the device you use.'
It further added, 'We recommend installing in a Wi-Fi environment as possible when updating. We will notify you through this notice if the distribution is delayed.'
The new update is going to be the first major update for BGMI. While the global version of PUBG Mobile has already received it, the Indian fans playing BGMI will have to wait a few more hours.
