As Capcom released its quarterly earnings and growth details Resident Evil 7 snatches the second spot from the list from Resident evil 5. The list is as follows:

- Monster Hunter: World has sold over 16.1 million copies since its release and is the highest-grossing game of the list.
- Resident Evil 7: This is where the changes take place from the last quarter. Resident Evil 7 with 7.9 million copies sold worldwide gains the second spot defeating Resident Evil 5 with 7.7 million copies sold. Thus, it becomes the highest-grossing game of the entire Resident Evil series.
- Resident Evil 5: Defeated by the RS 7 the 5th game of the series now, rests at the third spot.
- Resident Evil 6 is in fourth place with 7.6 million copies sold.
- Monster Hunter World: Iceborne stands at the fifth spot.
