Val 5 error is popping up on many systems in India when trying to play Valorant. The game just stops and an error message "There seems to be an issue with the Party system. Go ahead and restart the Riot Client. Error Code: 5 CreateProcess() Returned.” is displayed along with the Error code's name: Val error 5.
On the official Valorant website, the reason for this error is stated as "Account was logged into elsewhere." This means that multiple logins were done for a single Valorant account. The website provides a solution for the aforementioned error "You should log out from all devices." The website suggests just log out of all the systems where your Valorant(RIOT ID) is signed in. But this method does not always guarantee the issue getting fixed.
Let's take a look at some of the methods in fixing the above issue:
- The first way of fixing this error would be to actually change your RIOT ID password. If you are not the one who is logging into multiple systems at once then it might be some other person trying to login in without permission. This may not be the reason for ninty-nine percent of the player base but it's better to be safe than sorry.
- The second method would be to just restart your game. Just restart your game and make sure no other programs are running in the background. Restarting results in your system trying to reconnect with the Riot servers for the second time without any other program trying to eat up your bandwidth.
- You can also try restarting your entire system. Instead of restarting, try to shut your system down first and then turn it back on again. Remember to wait for thirty seconds before turning it back on. This method shuts down all processes and turns your computer off completely. Restarting, on the other hand, temporarily shuts down your PC then fires it up again.
- If the problem still persists then I suggest you try uninstalling and reinstalling the RIOT VANGUARD.To quote our article on Valorant Error code 43's fix: "Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Riot Vanguard removes bugs or corrupted files from your system and replaces them with the newly installed ones. You can easily uninstall the Riot Vanguard by just going to the "Programs and Features" section found in the Control Panel of your system. Just find the Riot Vanguard program in the list of all the programs and applications that are displayed in the list and just install it by right-clicking it and selecting the uninstall option. Now, just reinstall the Riot Vanguard. You can do this by visiting the official Valorant website. The game should work just fine after trying this method."
- Try to not simultaneously switch between various application annd tabs while playing the game.
- Try to contact Riot support if the issue persists.
- If none of the above method works then I suggest just try to contact your ISP(Internet Service Provider).
