Graphics and Design

In terms of visually pleasing graphics and aesthetics, while playing, both games fall short when compared to the original PC MOBA games. Nonetheless, these two games have surprised us in some aspects when it comes to a visual treat!

Arena of Valor designers has put in a lot of work while designing the Arena map as well as the Heroes. They have intricate particle effects and custom animations while fighting on the map. Even the Arena itself is a beautifully designed world. When compared to this Mobile Legends tends to lack that charismatic design and graphics while being played. It is not up to the mark, in terms of game graphics and the custom animations do seem a bit rough.

Game Mechanics

When mobile MOBA games are compared to PC MOBA games, the learning curve isn't as steep as it should be. This is for a various amount of reasons, one being, people want a light and fun experience on their mobile. However, games should still follow a basic set of mechanics.

Mobile Legends will give you a rather fun experience but its game mechanics are slightly off. Usually, tank heroes can sustain and absorb damage, but any sharpshooter or marksman in Mobile Legends can easily tear down a tank. It is easier to tilt the flow of a game with a few last hits or kills. This isn't usually the case with MOBA games. It is more player-focused rather than team focused.
However, on the other hand, Arena of Valor has done a brilliant job with their game mechanics. It is very similar to Dota 2.

Characters and Heroes

Both these games showcase a huge array of amazing and vibrant Heroes that compel you to play and master each and every single Hero. Character upgrades and improvements both in game and in menu tempt players to constantly interact with game and follow up on updates.

Mobile Legends have decided to include new heroes weekly and are constantly upgrading their Hero pool with either new Heroes or updating changes to existing ones. Contrary to this Arena of Valor is focusing on a select Hero pool but enhancing their Gameplay. The only aspect where AoV falls short is a lack of creativity. Recently they decided to tie up with DC in order to bring in heroes like Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and even Flash! While both games have their pros and cons, they have some very similar heroes to Dota 2.
