The Valorant Champions Tour is Riot's way to make Valorant eSports into a truly global phenomenon.
Riot Games the developer of the popular game Valorant has just announced the 2021 Valorant Champions Tour, a new tournament aimed at taking Valorant eSports to the next level. Next year, aspiring pro players from all over the world will have the opportunity to compete at both the regional and the international levels. The Champions tour is Riot's effort to make Valorant eSports a truly global phenomenon just like other eSports.
The Valorant Champions Tour or VCT for short will feature three levels of competition: Challengers, Masters, and Champions. Challengers Series will focus on regional competition. It will be organized by both Riot and top partners just like their Ignition and First Strike Series. The Masters Series will be larger, taking place only three times a year, and will feature the best teams from the region. And lastly, the Champions Series will be the topmost competitive series of the tournament. It will be a two-week-long tournament with the top 16 teams from each region, where the last standing team will be crowned the first VALORANT global Champion.
