The battle between our two hard carries has come to a conclusion as the TI 10 arcana vote has been announced on the official Dota 2 blog.

As the Battle pass and the TI 10 period has finally come to an end, we sit looking at the monitor screens thinking about what valve will do for the post-cleaning update. So far these are things that have been promised till *next week* hopefully in real world time and not Valve time.

Dota Plus updates

Finally after almost six months, Dota plus has been announced to receive, a new season. Hopefully they will add new sets to the shards shop. A new season has been announced for Dota plus, hopefully to keep the subscribers pleased as complaints have been raging since the beginning of the Battle pass. This is all that has been announced by Valve currently but we can hope for more updates now that the battle pass is over.

Guild Update

ti 10 guild system

Let us hope that Valve decides to keep Guilds permanently after TI 10 cleaning update as they have been a good experience for the community. Many reddit posts and tweets have been pleading Valve not to remove the current Guild System Dota 2 has. Nevertheless they have announced in their blog that they will bring a few updates to the guild updates. Lets hope the update is not to remove it.

MMR reset mechanism

MMR has been a crucial competitive mechanism in Dota 2. Valve has decided that there will be more changes to the Ranking System in Dota 2 as they want to make it more accurate and hopefully they will also try to fix the smurf-calypse which is damaging the community and its newer players.

Currently Valve has to do a lot with Dota 2 if they want old players to stay and newer players to join the game. Its popularity seems to be declining with so many problems in the community: Smurfing against newer players, Cheating, Game breaking bugs and Valve's silence to the community and the professional scene as well and finally improving the new player experience and supporting community content creators which boost the game's popularity would help the game revive its old player base as dota fans are loyal.
