Valorant Mobile Confirmed: Riot announces expansion of Valorant on Console & Mac

Riot has finally confirmed the launch of Valorant Mobile in multiple press releases today, 2 June 2021. Valorant till now has had been exclusive for Windows PC.

Valorant is just an year old as I write, but it has already become a tier-1 esports with total number of concurrent viewers crossing over 5 million in the recent Valorant Masters Iceland. Valorant in only available to play on mobile just yet. Although several reports had speculated the mobile version of Valorant, nothing was official, until today.


To mark the first anniversary of Valorant, Riot has announced to "expand the [Valorant] franchise to make it accessible to more players around the world".

"One of our top goals this first year was to earn the trust and respect of the global FPS community, and to prove to them that Valorant will always uphold the fundamentals of a truly worthwhile competitive tac-shooter,” writes Anna Donlon, Valorant’s Executive Producer.

“To see our growing player community recognize and appreciate what we’re trying to do with Valorant is beyond what we could’ve expected and we’re thrilled to soon offer the same competitive Valorant experience to even more global players.”

When is Valorant Mobile releasing?

What is the release date of Valorant Mobile? Unfortunately Riot has not highlighted a release date just yet apart from the announcement itself. However, multiple sources familiar with the story are speculating the Valorant Mobile release date to be mid-2022.

As it is with the mobile port, Riot has not revealed a release date for console and Mac versions, but multiple reports have shown their presence in the Valorant code.
