Sentinels buy TenZ for $1.25 million

According to a report by Upcomer, TenZ's buyout value was $2 million initially and he had been loaned out to Sentinels for $250 thousand until the end of May (end of VCT Master Iceland). However, C9 sold TenZ for just $1.25 million to his new team, since he was very happy about it. Cloud9's CEO Jack Etienne says, "it was important to Tyson to play and I wanted to make it happen for him." Cloud9 have always been flexible about players' contracts and on several occasions (Timothy “autimatic” Ta  and Damian “daps” Steele), they have bailed out players who wanted to leave Cloud9 early.

Moreover, TenZ had already announced his retirement form competitive when he was in Cloud9 and had become a full time content creator. Sentinels had wanted TenZ because Jay "Sinatraa" Won had been suspended following accusations of sexual abuse by his ex-girlfriend Cleo.

TenZ, while with Sentinels, has won the champions title and become the MVP of the recently concluded grand finals of VCT Masters, Iceland. TenZ had also hinted that he was going to stay with Sentinels in a post match conference after the VCT Masters final saying, "I would love to stay with Sentinels if I could. I hope that I can. I am praying."

TenZ is the final piece in Sentinels' puzzle

Tenz has already won Valorant Masters 1 and Masters 2 with TenZ. After a dominating win in the Masters 2, Sentinels are looking very strong with TenZ. They would want to keep TenZ, even if Sinatraa somehow returns which is not looking amicable at all. Sentinels have already qualified for the Valorant Champions.
