Anthony "vanity" Malaspina is the IGL of Version1. Version1's surprise second-place finish at the VCT Masters 2: Challengers playoffs and 5th-6th finish at the VCT Masters 2: Reykjavik made the entire Valorant community believe that Verison1 is a top 3 team in the North-American Valorant region. But after the tournament, V1 seems to have lost it's spark. V1 even failed to qualify for the VCT Stage 3: Challengers Playoffs. This means the team cannot even participate in the next Valorant LAN major tournament held in Berlin.

This huge upset might have resulted in vanity wanting to explore other options. The exact reason for vanity wanting to leave the team is still unknown. Chad "Oderus" Miller from Kansas City Pioneers is considered to be his suitable replacement in Version1 according to Upcomer.
