ValoNERD #1: Viper on Bind: A-site Attackers Side

ValoNERD is a series of articles that aims on teaching low elo casual Valorant players basics of Valorant.

There are tons of lineup/tips and tricks guides on every agent in Valorant. But while learning how to play any agent I noticed that all those guide videos and websites were filled with many lineups and one-ways which were very situational and moreover just confused new players like me about which lineups and one-ways should I bother to learn and which ones are just gimmicks that work once or twice in a match.


I main Viper, Omen, Reyna and Skye and I always look for new one-ways, lineups or tricks to get an edge over my opponents in-game. I use all the lineups and one-ways that I'll be mentioning in this guide and I assure you that they won't let you down, at least in the lower elos. To keep the article short, I've broken this guide into five parts with each part covering the attack/defence side of one bomb site and finally all the post plant lineups.

Showers execute:

Pushing into A-site with the help of Viper walls is the easiest thing to do in lower elo if you ask me. My favourite is the A-site showers execute and I think a complete showers execute is only possible with a Viper on your team.

  1. Line yourself as shown on the minimap i.e., your wall should lineup on the left side of triple boxes and throw your wall.

2. Position yourself with your back touching the wall near the showers teleportal and try this lineup to throw your poison cloud whilst running. All you need to do is to run and throw your poison cloud anywhere on the vertical pink line. This poison cloud should land on heaven blocking enemy vision.

3. After you've thrown your wall and poison cloud it should look something like this. This blocks almost all the potential angles letting you and your team a safe plant.

A short execute:

1st method:

  1. Position yourself right here as shown in the minimap and throw your wall.
  2. Keep in mind your wall should go through truck so that due to a change in elevation, the wall will cover heaven too preventing enemies to snipe your team from heaven.

2. Just throw your poison cloud randomly at lamps or just ask a teammate to smoke it or molly it just to get a safe plant at default near the truck.

2nd method:

  1. Position yourself as shown on the minimap and throw your wall.
  2. A safe plant near truck is possible.
  3. I would recommend the 1st method though.
