Why Should You Buy a Nintendo Switch?

By |

Do you want to buy a new gaming console? Maybe your very first one or just a new addition to your video game line up. Why should you buy the Nintendo Switch? From great content to its novel design and sheer versatility. Here are some reasons why you should buy it over a PS4 or an Xbox One.

A turned on Nintendo Switch with two Joy-Con...

#1 It's Portable and Super Convenient

Thanks to all the deals that are watering down from India's major e-commerce players like Amazon and Flipkart there are always offers on gaming consoles at any given point of time. This makes it very easy for users to buy the consoles at the lowest possible prices.

Now, let's take the X-Box One or say a PS4, it's simply impossible to carry these duo's from one place to another. It's not about sheer weight alone, factors like plug points or cable length also make it quite difficult to shift the gadget elsewhere but you never have to worry about all these things if Nintendo Switch is what you own, you can take it anywhere.

Not only this, Nintendo Switch doubles up as a hybrid console which lets you dock it to your TV or monitor and enjoy playing on the big screen when you are not using it in handheld mode. You even detach the Joy-Con controllers, set the screen on a table and play it that way.

Another interesting or rather a useful feature is the ability to continue gameplay from where you left on your Nintendo Switch in handheld mode if there's an unexpected power cut or something like that when you are playing with it in console mode.

#2. It’s the only console that lets you play all of Nintendo’s best games be it the new ones or the old.

If you are a kid especially from the time when Nintendo was a tad more popular and occupied a bigger part of your dreams then the Nintendo switch will bring back all those sweet nostalgias of yours.

Though most of the normal third party games won't load on this one, on the flip side you'll b able to run older games that were supported on Nintendo.

Like The Legend of Zelda series, Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, etc, the best part is that you can’t play these titles anywhere else.

Breath of the Wild

More games are expected to join the line-up including the Daemon X Machina, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokemon Sword & Shield which happens to be Nintendo's biggest Switch game release for 2019.

But in the age of high-end mobile phones, why would we actually need something like Nintendo Switch?

Well if you ask me, then the only proper reason I can come up with is style statement. Other than this, physical buttons are quite favorable than touch screens while playing games as they prevent you from accidental touches.

On the other hand, there are a few downsides, Indian units of Nintendo Switch that's sold on Amazon.in do not come with any warranty as such. This according to me, is the biggest deal-breaker. I hope Nintendo fixes this issue as soon as possible. Meanwhile, if you guys want to buy one better ask someone from the US or from any other country from where it is sold with warranty. You can also wait for the Nintendo Switch Lite which is priced for significantly lesser than the original Nintendo Switch at $200
